Ferguson, Padden Qualify for State Primary Ballot

Denver, April 6, 2020 – The Elections Division of the Colorado Secretary of State’s office announced today that Candice Ferguson, Democratic candidate for Colorado House of Representatives District 38, and Amy Padden, Democratic candidate for District Attorney for the 18th Judicial District, have each collected the required number of signatures to appear on the June 30 State Primary ballot.

Candidates for Colorado House of Representative are required to collect 1,000 signatures (or 30% of votes cast in the last election, whichever is smaller) in their district, while candidates for District Attorney are required to collect 1,000 signatures (or 10% of votes cast in the last election) in their district, a requirement outlined by 1-4-801, C.R.S.  Ferguson submitted 1,299 valid signatures, while Padden submitted 1,209, both clearing their respective thresholds.
