Four Candidates Qualify for General Election Ballot for RTD Board of Directors; One Candidate Does Not

Denver, August 14, 2020 – The Elections Division of the Colorado Secretary of State’s has announced that Kyle Bradell, a nonpartisan candidate for Regional Transportation District Board of Directors, District A, Regan Byrd, a nonpartisan candidate for Regional Transportation District Board of Directors, District H, Paul Rosenthal, a nonpartisan candidate for Regional Transportation District Board of Directors, District E, and Doug Tisdale, a nonpartisan candidate for Regional Transportation District Board of Directors, District H, have collected the required number of signatures to appear on the November 3 general election ballot.

Austin Ward, a nonpartisan candidate for Regional Transportation District Board of Directors, District I, did not submit the required number of valid signatures and will not appear on the ballot.

Candidates for RTD Board of Directors are required to collect 250 signatures in their district, a requirement outlined by 32-9-111, C.R.S. Bradell submitted 391 valid signatures, Byrd submitted 351 valid signatures, Rosenthal submitted 342 valid signatures, and Tisdale submitted 304 valid signatures, clearing the threshold to appear on the ballot. Ward submitted 209 valid signatures.
