2019 County Infrequent / Annual Filing Calendar

Coordinated election: Tuesday, November 5, 2019


This calendar applies to
(refer to Campaign Finance Rule 17):

  • County Candidates and Candidate Committees whose offices do not attempt access to or appear on the November 5, 2019, Coordinated Election / Biennial School Election ballot.
  • Junior College Board of Trustee Candidates (for Northwestern Community college) whose offices do not attempt access to or appear on the November 5, 2019, Coordinated Election ballot.
  • County Issue Committees (IC) whose issue does not attempt access to or appear on the November 5, 2019 Coordinated Election / Biennial School Election ballot.
  • County Political Parties (PP)*
  • County Political Committees (PC)*
  • County Small Donor Committees (SDC)*
  • County 527 Political Organizations (527 PO)*
  • County Independent Expenditure Committees (IEC)*

*Any candidate, party, or committee, except for Issue Committee, participating in the November 5, 2019, Biennial School Election must file disclosure reports according to the 2019 Biennial School Election Schedule. You must notify Campaign Finance Support to update your filing schedule immediately upon participation in the Biennial School Election.

 

Small-Scale Issue Committees (SSIC) are not required to file disclosure reports until they exceed $5,000 in activity. After filing an initial disclosure report and converting to an Issue Committee, SSICs are subject to the disclosure requirements of 1-45-108(2), C.R.S.


Supplemental reports

The following supplemental reports may be required dependent on political activity:

  • Regular Biennial School Electioneering Communication (if the communication mentions school board candidates) time period starts 60 days (September 6, 2019) before the Biennial School Election.

  • 24 Hour Notice of Major Contributor (MC) & 48 Hour Notice of Independent Expenditure (IE) report period starts 30 days before the Biennial School Election and ends the day before the election. MC reports are due within 24 hours of a qualifying contribution and the IE reports are due within 48 hours of spending.
