Federal Reporting of Beneficial Ownership Information

The U.S. Treasury’s Financial Crime Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a part of the U.S. Department of Treasury, is collecting beneficial ownership information (BOI). Our office is not collecting this information and will not have access to the information reported to FinCEN. You should contact FinCEN if you have additional questions or concerns about who will have access.
Starting January 1, 2024, many businesses must file a BOI Report with FinCEN.
- Go to the FinCEN Beneficial Ownership Information Report page for more information and to submit your electronic report.
- Updates or corrections to FinCEN BOI reports must be submitted within 30 calendar days of becoming aware of the change.
- Please contact FinCEN directly or seek legal guidance for your questions.
- Do not submit your FinCEN BOI report to the Colorado Secretary of State’s office.
