Description of Subjects/Issues |
This proposed rule amendment pertains to updating the age ranges and blood lead reference values (BLRVs) from the current value of 5 micrograms per deciliter (µg/dL) to the latest BLRV recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) value of 3.5 µg/dL. |
Purpose/Objective of Rule |
This rule was amended to update the age ranges and blood lead testing values to align with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), resulting in a reduction from 5 to 3.5 micrograms per deciliter. |
