| Description of Subjects/Issues |
These rules were initially promulgated for administration of the Colorado Basic Literacy Act, including the identification of standards and instruments for assessing literacy in grades Kindergarten through third grade. The underlying statute that authorized the Colorado Basic Literacy Act, C.R.S. 22-7-501 - 507, was repealed in 2013 (at the time that the Colorado READ Act was passed). Because the underlying statute no longer exists, the department is recommending a repeal of the associated rules. |
