| Description of Subjects/Issues |
The Division of Environmental Health and Sustainability (“division”) is proposing revisions to 6
CCR 1010-2, Colorado Retail Food Establishment Regulations, and is requesting that the
Board of Health schedule a rulemaking hearing to consider adoption of the proposed
amendments at the January 17, 2024, Board of Health meeting.
In compliance with the State Administrative Procedure Act, Section 24-4-103.3, C.R.S., the
department is proposing amendments to update and align 6 CCR 1010-2, Colorado Retail Food
Establishment Regulations, with the recently revised federal Food Code through incorporation
by reference.
The amended and proposed regulation incorporates by reference of the Food Code, 2022
Recommendations of the United States Public Health Service/Food and Drug Administration
(Food Code), as published by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Public
Health Service, Food and Drug Administration (FDA). |
