| Description of Subjects/Issues |
Creation of the Colorado Hemp Product and Safe Harbor Hemp Product Regulations, 6 CCR
1010-24 would include regulatory requirements based on broad stakeholder input received
from the task force created by SB22-205, requirements codified by SB23-271, and the
division’s stakeholder engagement process. Regulation of hemp products has evolved to the
point that a dedicated, stand-alone regulation is required for those products, which are quite
different than those typically regulated under the wholesale food manufacturing and shellfish
regulations that are currently applied. A new rule, specific to hemp-derived products, would
provide clarity and ease of implementation for both the hemp and wholesale food industries. |
| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
