| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
The Department adopted amended and new rules to the Colorado Department of State Notary Program Rules. The rules are intended to ensure uniform and proper administration, implementation, and enforcement of Colorado Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts. Specifically, the Department temporarily adopts rule revisions necessary to clarify the exception that authorizes the use of an interpreter for deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind individuals. These rules are effective immediately. Please see attached Notice of Temporary Adoption. On July 1, 2022, the Department also filed a notice of proposed rulemaking under the CCR e-Docket # 2022-00352. |
