| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
On February 10, 2022, the Department temporarily adopted amended and new rules to the Colorado Department of State Elections Rules. The rules were intended to ensure uniform and proper administration, implementation, and enforcement of Colorado laws regarding voting systems. Those temporary rules, under CCR Tracking #2022-00078, expire on June 10, 2022. These rules are adopted on a temporary basis until permanent adoption of the rules under CCR Tracking #2022-00197 is possible. The Department of State issued a notice of rulemaking on April 15, 2022. Please see attached Statement of Basis and Purpose document (which includes the notice of temporary adoption and a statement of basis and purpose). |
