| Description of Subjects/Issues |
This rule hearing will address the mandatory annual review of surcharge rates. The Division of Workers' Compensation is proposing a decrease of 0.01% in the workers' compensation cash fund surcharge (which funds the Division of Workers' Compensation) and an increase of 0.01% of the Premium Cost Containment Surcharge (which funds programs to assist employers in reducing premiums via safety planning and other mechanisms). No change is recommended to the Special Funds surcharge. The total amount of surcharges will remain constant. |
