| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
The purpose of this emergency rule is to implement the requirements of Executive Order D 2020-038, that was issued by Governor Jared Polis on April 15, 2020. The Order temporarily suspends some of the State Board of Pharmacy’s Rules to ensure hospital pharmacies are able to meet the needs of expanding inpatient and emergency department bed counts due to COVID-19, through hospital pharmacy satellites. The purpose of the Order, and subsequently this emergency rule, is to eliminate rules that pose regulatory barriers to pharmaceutical services and expands the workforce of trained medical personnel available to provide healthcare services. |
