In 2019, the Department of Revenue standardized certain naming and numbering conventions in these income tax rules, among other technical non-substantive changes. This included changing “Regulation” to “Rule” in provision titles and modifying cross-references accordingly. Similarly, some rule numbers used periods where none existed in statute (e.g., Rule 39-22-301.1). These were changed to parenthetical numbers (e.g., “Rule 39-22-301.1” became “Rule 39-22-301(1)”). |
