| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
The purpose of this regulation is to establish the requirements, process, and form to be utilized by carriers to ensure compliance with § 10-16-104(5.5), C.R.S., and the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008. It replaces Emergency Regulation 19-E-02 in its entirety. The Division of Insurance finds, pursuant to § 24-4-103(6)(a), C.R.S., that immediate adoption of this regulation is imperatively necessary for the preservation of public health, safety, or welfare, due to the need for additional stakeholder involvement due to the extensive requirements of HB 19-1269 that must to be implemented by January 1, 2020, therefore compliance with the requirements of § 24-4-103, C.R.S., would be contrary to the public interest. |
