| Description of Subjects/Issues |
The purpose of this rulemaking is to repeal the “Rules and Regulations Pertaining to the Administration and Enforcement of the Bee and Bee Products Act” at 8 CCR 1203-4 in its entirety. After review it was determined that this rule is unnecessary because the bee keeping community does not want to be regulated or fund a regulatory program. The Department cannot mandate treatment or control of honey bee diseases and parasites without funding and mandatory registration of bee keepers. This rulemaking repeals the rules but does not impact the Departments statutory authority. |
