The changes proposed in this rulemaking are a direct result of SB 17-103, which included
requirements for an early childhood education needs assessment as part of the district and
school improvement planning process. |
| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
The changes proposed in this rulemaking are a direct result of SB 17-103, which included requirements for an early childhood education needs assessment as part of the district and school improvement planning process. Nearly all of the amendments proposed by staff are identical to the statutory language contained in the new law. In addition, staff have also proposed to remove the language in the Statement of Basis and Purpose section that outlined previous updates to the rules, based on recommendations from the Attorney General’s Office. |
