Description of Subjects/Issues "The purpose of the proposed rule is to implement a federal policy option under 7 CFR 273.9(c)(19) that allows the Food Assistance Program to exempt certain types of income that are exempt under TANF. In Colorado, TANF is known as Colorado Works. The Food Assistance Program is proposing to align its rules with CO Works in how it considers educ income for students in determining the household’s eligibility and monthly Food Assistance allotment. The Food Assistance Program currently excludes some but not all educ income. Aligning with CO Works will allow the Food Assistance Program to expand upon the types of educational income that is considered exempt. "
