| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
• Update and clarify language, eliminate out of date or incorrect references, correct abbreviations, definitions and terminology, format continuing education renewal requirements, general housekeeping (correcting typographical errors and omission, formatting, grammar, capitalization, punctuation, etc.) for Rule 2.1, Rule 2.2, Rule 4.5, Rule 4.7.1.2, Rule 4.7.1.4, Rule 4.8.6, Rule 4.9.3.1.2.5, Rule 4.11, Rule 5.2.2, Rule 6.5.1, Rule 6.5.1.1, Rule 6.5.4, Rule 6.13, Rule 7.1.5, Rule 7.1.7 and Rule 7.2.
• Clarify requirements to report disciplinary action for Rule 3.1.10.
• Update and clarify application and verification information, and education and experience requirements for Rule 4.1.1.3, Rule 4.1.1.6, Rule 4.1.1.7, Rule 4.1.1.8, Rule 4.1.1.9, Rule 4.3.4, Rule 4.3.5, Rule 4.4.1, Rule 4.4.1.1 (Repeal), Rule 4.5.2, Rule 4.5.3, Rule 4.5.4, Rule 4.6.1.10, Rule 4.6.2.5, Rule 4.6.7 and Rule 4.7.2.1.
• Consider military experience in licensure application review as legislated in HB11-1100 for Rule 4.1.1.10 for architects, engineers and land surveyors and repeal Rule 4.6.1.3 and Rule 4.6.2.3 for armed services experience for engineers and land surveyors.
• Update and clarify examinations, exam fees and exam results for Rule 4.8.2.1, Rule 4.8.2.2 and Rule 4.8.4 (Repeal).
• Update and clarify license reinstatement requirements, including those for retired licenses for Rule 4.9.1, Rule 4.9.1.1, Rule 4.9.1.1.1, Rule 4.9.1.1.1.1, Rule 4.9.1.2, Rule 4.9.1.2.1 and Rule 4.9.1.2.1.1.
• Update and clarify exemptions and exceptions to mandatory architect continuing education requirements for Rule 4.9.3.1.2.15 and Rule 4.9.3.1.2.16.
• Update and repeal as required to align with the Sunset legislation within SB13-161 regarding architect malpractice claims for Rule 4.10.1 and Rule 4.10.2 (Repeal); and architect seal and record set requirements for Rule 7.1.1 and Rule 7.3 (Repeal).
