Rule making concerning the Motorcycle Operator Safety Training Program |
| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
The MOST Program Rules, 2 CCR 602-3 were last adopted in 2007. The Department is significantly revising the rules to improve the Program and provide greater accountability and transparency, as recommended in a recent audit. In keeping with the Governor’s request to simplify and lessen regulations where possible, every attempt has been made to reduce the number of rules and use clear language. This rule making effort requested the input of the most knowledgeable stakeholders involved in motorcycle training. |

CDOT is requesting a CCR number change from 2 CCR 602-3 to 2 CCR 601-23 so that the rules will be grouped together with other CDOT rules and will be easier for the public to locate. The rules were almost completely revised so a red lined version is not provided given the extent of the revisions. |
