Description of Subjects/Issues to describe the manner of regulation over parties providing transportation service by motor vehicle in Colorado: specifically, to enhance public safety; protect consumers, serve the public interest; and make the rules more effective, efficient, elegant, and provide for clarity, necessity and conciseness and to repeal rules found to be duplicative, inconsistent or burdensome.

Comments Rules adopted by the Decision on Exceptions, dated 05/29/2012, were subject to a 20 day appeal period, and the rules became final and adopted after an appeal was denied on 06/20/2012 by the Decision Denying Application for Rehearing, Reargument or Reconsideration. The proposed Appendix A, Motor Carrier Surety Bond form was not adopted. These rules replace in their entirety, the current emergency rules 4 CCR 723-6.
