New chapter to Standards for Hospitals and Health Facilities (6 CCR 1011-1): Chapter VI - Acute Treatment Units, a new licensure category that will provide short-term psychiatric care to persons with mental illness. The proposed rules implement the provisions of House Bill 06-1277. |
| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
These rules implement the provisions of House Bill 06-1277, which created a new licensure category called "acute treatment unit" that will provide short-term psychiatric care to persons with mental illness. The rules address issues including, but not limited to: fire safety, emergency preparedness, communicable diseases, dietary services, linen and laundry, and interior and exterior environment. |
