| Description of Subjects/Issues |
Rules concerning public records requested pursuant to the Colorado Open Records Act and repealing or amending Rule 3.6, and concerning the denial or inspection of records in certain circumstances in response to legal objections made by the Office of Legislative Legal Services. |
| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
It is the purpose of these rules to describe teh procedures governing requests for the inspection of public records in the custody of the Secretary of State, in order to ensure the protection of such records and the prevention of unnecessary interference with the regular discharge of the duties of the Colorado Secretary of State's office. Specifically, the amendment to these rules is in response to questions raised by the Office of Legislative Legal Services in the course of its review of these rules pursuant to C.R.S. 24-4-103(8)(d). |
