Description of Subjects/Issues |
Amendments to the Rules Pertaining to Emergency Medical Services (6 CCR 1015-3) Sections 1 through 10, rules concerning EMS Education and EMT Certification. |
Purpose/Objective of Rule |
These amendments to sections 1-10 modify and clarify section definitions; clarify and streamline EMS Education Program Recognition and require that initial and refresher courses include Board of Medical Examiners Rule 500 EMT scope of practice content; change the content of continuing education courses for certificate renewal modeled after the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians requirements; increase continuing education hours from 36 to 50 for EMT-Intermediates and EMT-Paramedic |
