Description of Subjects/Issues |
The basis and purpose of these proposed rules is to advise Eligible Telecommunications Carrier carriers (ETC) of the annual reporting requirements in order to determine whether an ETC has satisfied its burden of proof necessary to be certified to continue to receive federal universal service support each year or to retain its ETC designation. |
Purpose/Objective of Rule |
To implement annual reporting requirements for designated Eligible Telecommunications Carriers in Colorado pursuant to the guidelines set forth in 47 CFR ?? 54.313 and 54.314. To bring more accountability to the use and receipt of Federal Universal Service Fund dollars. To ensure that federal support is spent for the intended purpose of provisioning, upgrading and maintaining basic local exchange service in Colorado.
