U.S. Senate candidate Jack Graham makes primary ballot
DENVER, April 20, 2016 -- Jack Graham's petition to appear on the Republican primary ballot for U.S. Senate is sufficient, Colorado Secretary of State Wayne Williams announced today.
Graham submitted 22,786 petition signatures to the Secretary of State's office on March 28, and the office began a line-by-line review of the signatures. He was required to gather 1,500 valid signatures from Republican voters in each of Colorado’s seven congressional districts for a total of 10,500 signatures. He submitted 12,891 valid signatures.
Graham, the former athletic director at Colorado State University, is one of four Senate candidates who petitioned to get on the June 28 primary ballot. Signatures are still being counted for the other three: Jon Keyser, Robert Blaha and Ryan Frazier.
Already on the GOP ballot for Senate is El Paso County Commissioner Darryl Glenn, who received 70 percent of the delegate vote at the Republican state assembly April 9. The incumbent, Michael Bennet, was nominated at the Democratic assembly on Saturday and is unopposed in his primary.
