Dave Textor

Dave Textor and I served together in Iraq on a special forces A-team. During that time I was one of two officers on the team when Dave, a weapons specialist, was killed in Mosul on July 15, 2008. Dave was a husband, a father, a brother, a son and a green beret who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our way of life. Get out and Vote America!

James A. Miller

My father. The most resilient man I know. He joined the United States Army on November 20th, 2001. A man who was prepared to serve his country during a time of war, and commit to it for the rest of his life. My father is a hero, he spent three tours in the middle east totaling to four and a half years, and one tour in Korea. He not only served his country well but also made me the man I am today. He taught me discipline, honor, and willpower. I learned that I could push myself to the finish line, that I can preserve. My father is my greatest role model, and I love him.

Sgt. Medger Wiley Evers

U.S. Army. He fought in WWII, European theater, and survived everything that the Axis could throw at him. He died in his own driveway, in front of his wife and children, from a bullet "Made in USA" in the back. Black lives matter!

David J Sebesta

My brother, David J Sebesta, enlisted in the Army right out of high school in 1961 along with 4 or 5 of his high school buddies. As part of David's military training, he was chosen to be part of a group for beach reconnaissance maneuvers. They did extensive training spending most of a 24-hr day out in the ocean, often overnight. By the time the training was completed, only three service men were left in the group; my brother being one of the three. When they started the training, they didn't realize that there was plan for the team to be part of the Bay of Pigs military plan. The hours before the Bay of Pigs was officially called off were pretty tense for David and the other two members of the group. We, David's family, of course knew nothing about it until after the fact; but we thrilled it was called off and that David successfully completed the training---pretty impressive for a kid who didn't even know how to swim prior to the training!

Danny Dietz

Navy Seal Danny Dietz died for our country ensuring the freedoms that we as Americans enjoy on a daily basis. I did not personally know this American patriot but as has been since the founding of our country, we don't have to know those who sacrifice of themselves for us. I would also wear this button to honor the sacrifice that his parents and loved ones have endured in the loss of their loved one.

Dante G. Guadagnoli Jr.

Dante G. Guadagnoli Jr. is my father.  He served during the Vietnam conflict, he has since passed, but because of him and his influence, I would like to vote in his honor. This will be my first time voting.

- Jennifer Trinque

Norman Horowitz

The veteran I am honoring was my Father. He was a Captain in the Air Force and made the supreme sacrifice in Korea. Because he died in his early twenties and I was very young, I never had the honor to meet him. He was a graduate of the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I understand he was a fine officer and a gentleman.

- Carey Horowitz

Leonard Redden, William Gray, Bryan Gray

Len is my father and was in WW II. Army. Bill is my husband and served in the Formosa Conflict. Navy. Bryan is my son, served in the Army, and is in the National Guard. Regular Army. All of these men fought, and served out country, and instilled in our family just how important it is to stand up for what you believe in. They did, now it’s time for us to stand up and thank them. I am very proud of all of them.

Christopher Snyder

Chris served in Operation Iraq Freedom on the USS Roosevelt, then became part of the war on drugs in Columbia, where he was killed in action. Chris graduated from Annapolis then went to Iraq. On Dec. 13, 2005 Chris was flying a SeaHawk in Columbia defending our country of illegal drug imports. The helicopter went off of radar and the helicopter and the three pilots were never found. The Navy declared Chris KIA along with the other two aboard KIA on Dec. 16, 2006. He was engaged at the time, and left behind his sister and mother. His father also severed in the Navy. He was an honorable and decent man and died for the country he loves.

David W Thompson

He is one of my best friends whom I have known since Aug. 1965. His devotion to our country has been a positive example to those of us who have had the privilege of knowing David. I have not seen him for quite a long time but the spirit of friendship is like the spirit of our country. It never dies out and the time you really need it, it will rise to the occasion.

Ruth Marie Gottfried Meacham
