Petition Entities, Circulators & Proponents

Are you paying circulators to collect signatures? If yes, state law requires you to become an approved licensed petition entity.

Petition entity licensing

Effective January 2, 2024 - Fee change and filing requirement

  • New petition entity applications $500.
  • A renewal application is now required every two years to stay active and is $500.

New online system functionality

  • New applications and renewals must be filed and paid for using our online system. Paper or emailed forms and checks for payment will not be accepted.
  • Renewals can be filed 60 days before the entity expires.
