EFS Master list

Q1. What is the master list?

A1.  The master list is a report that contains information from all of the effective financing statements (EFS) that were effective as of the last day of the previous month. Buyers of farm products use the master list to check if a farm product is subject to a security interest.

The master list includes:

  • Record and document numbers,
  • Debtor information,
  • Secured party information,
  • The farm products affected by the EFS,
  • The county or counties where the affected farm products are located,
  • The crop year(s) affected by the statement, and
  • Assignee information, if applicable.

Q2. How often is the master list updated?

A2.  The master list is updated monthly, and includes all records that were effective as of the last day of the previous month. For example, during the month of May the master list is current through the last day of April.

Q3. Do I have to pay to search the master list?

A3.  No. Searching and downloading the master list is free.
