Q1. What are county codes used for?

A1.  Some documents may include either a county code or the county's name. The codes below are provided for reference purposes.

 

Q2. Do I need to put county codes on my filings?

A2.  No. You do not need to provide a county code when you file. If you are amending a document that was originally filed at a county clerk and recorder's office, our system will automatically assign the correct county code.
