| Description of Subjects/Issues |
The department recommends rule amendments to address requirements from S.B. 22-137 and
to respond to the State Board of Education’s resolutions passed in December 2021 to offer a
request to reconsider process that: (1) includes a 90% total participation threshold, and (2)
provides schools and districts on Performance Watch (i.e., Priority Improvement, Turnaround,
On Watch) an opportunity to move to On Watch status or fully exit Performance Watch. Other
proposed changes to the rules remove obsolete rule language and provide clarifications on
performance frameworks calculations to reflect current practices. |
