Description of Subjects/Issues |
Pursuant to Section 43-5-502.5, CRS, the Chief of the Colorado State Patrol has authority to adopt rules affecting the administration and regulation of the Colorado MOST Program. The CSP seeks to amend these rules following both program and administrative rule reviews and in response to statutory changes arising out of the 2020 Colorado General Legislative Session having an impact upon the MOST Program. Specific amendments proposed are for purposes of clarifying CO MOST Program Instructor and Vendor Requirements; introducing CO MOST Instructor standards specific to the operation of the MOST Program within Colorado; to update existing definitions and terminology and update references throughout the rules to standardize references; to update information relevant to CO MOST Program Instructor applications, eligibility, and maintenance; to confirm program requirements applicable to both CO MOST Vendors and Instructors; and to update information relevant to referenced materials. |
Purpose/Objective of Rule |
The purpose of these rules is to support the Chief of the Colorado State Patrol in the administration and regulation of the Motorcycle Operator Safety Training (MOST) Program. |
