The Colorado Air Quality Enterprise operating within the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment shall administer the air quality enterprise cash fund created under §25-7-103.5(4)(a), C.R.S. or collect other fees pursuant to §25-7-103.5(4), C.R.S. |
Description of Subjects/Issues |
The Air Quality Enterprise Board will consider the adoption of a fee rule to collect emission fees from the top 150 stationary source emitters in Colorado. |
Purpose/Objective of Rule |
The Colorado Air Quality Enterprise was established through Senate Bill 20-204 and signed into law on June 30, 2020. The AQE was then directed to establish fees for stationary sources of air pollutant emissions to fund the services outlined, including (among other things) providing high-quality, independent, and trusted research and air quality data. This rule, Regulation 1, establishes fees in accordance with Section 25-7-103.5(4)(b), C.R.S. |
