| Description of Subjects/Issues |
The proposed changes make it so State-Designated Health Professional Shortages Areas (HPSA) include the assessment of the primary care health professional workforce. These amendments are a necessary improvement to the distribution of the Colorado Health Service Corps (CHSC) resources to areas of Colorado with the most acute primary care provider shortages. The CHSC program provides an education loan repayment incentive to clinicians in exchange for a period of clinical practice in a designated HPSA. |
| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
