Description of Subjects/Issues Chapter 13 is a new chapter added to 6 CCR 1011-1 as the result of HB19-1010, a legislative mandate to create a new licensure category for Freestanding Emergency Departments (FSEDs). These facilities are licensed as Community Clinics now, but the new legislations says they must be re-licensed as FSEDs no later than June 30, 2022. Since licensure is annual, the rules for the new licensure category must be available July 1, 2021. Chapter 9 is also being extensively revised and restructured for ease of use. Last, the proposed rules also include non-substantive revisions to certain existing rule sections in the trauma rules 6 CCR 1015-4 Chapters 2 and 3.
