| Description of Subjects/Issues |
This rulemaking is a direct result of HB 20-1048 concerning a prohibition against
discrimination based on a person’s traits that are historically associated with race. The law
prohibited the State Board of Education from waiving any statute or rule relating to
discrimination based on hair texture, hair type or a protective hairstyle that is commonly or
historically associated with race. The rules have been updated to reflect these statutory
changes. |
