Description of Subjects/Issues |
This rulemaking is a direct result of SB 19-176 Expanding Conncurrent Enrollment Opportunities, which amended the Concurrent Enrollment Programs Act described in C.R.S. 22- 35-101 et.seq. This action is an update to existing rules and notices sections 1.0 through 2.01 and 2.04. The revisions to these rules include: • An update to the definition of Concurrent Enrollment to align with statute, which includes the requirement for school districts and high schools to offer concurrent enrollment beginning in July 2020 and; • A statutorily-required definition of the number of concurrent enrollment credits in which a qualified student must be enrolled for full-time funding status. o This definition is aligned with school finance guidance that has been the existing practice for more than five years. |
