| Description of Subjects/Issues |
Amendments being proposed for these rules are to clarify wheel and axle weight information as it relates to specified single drive axle vehicles and references to maximum height allowances for all vehicles; update provisions relevant to the Special Revocable Permit (SRP) program regarding the processing of applications; and edit existing email and physical address information. Also being addressed are nay minor grammar of formatting items existing in the present rule. |
| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
The purpose of these rules is to support the enforcement of applicable statutes and regulations concerning commercial motor carriers, owners and operators through the operation of Port of Entry weigh stations on public highways within the state of Colorado.
The amendments proposed to this rule by the Colorado State Patrol POE Branch clarify wheel and axle weight information as it relates to specified single drive axle vehicles; updates references to maximum height allowances for all vehicles; updates provisions relevant to the SRP Program regarding the processing of applications; and edits existing email and physical address information. The proposed changes also address minor grammar and formatting issues throughout the rule title. |
