Purpose/Objective of Rule The purpose of this Emergency Rulemaking Hearing was for the Board to consider whether to adopt new Rule 135 to implement SB19-228, which became effective on October 1, 2019. This new legislation requires physicians and physician assistants to complete up to four hours of substance use disorder training as a condition of renewal, reactivation, or reinstatement of licensure.
