| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
This proposed rule changes existing rules to ensure that SB19-168 and HB19-1063 are fully implemented. This packet adds rules necessary to implement new confidentiality exceptions enacted through HB19-1063 and to add back the definition of self-neglect, which was removed from rule by SB19-168. The changes to the APS statute take effect on August 2nd and it is imperatively necessary for these changes to rule to be effective on that date. There is not time to run a rule change through the regular, non-emergency process and for the changes to be effective before the statutory changes take effect on August 2. |
