| Description of Subjects/Issues |
The purpose of this rulemaking is to repeal “Rules and Regulations Pertaining to the Procedure for Establishing Pest Control Districts and for the Control of Grasshoppers, Mormon Crickets, or Range Caterpillars” at 8 CCR 1203-7 in its entirety. After review it was determined that this rule is unnecessary because the grasshopper populations have remained low; the Department cannot assist in a cost share of grasshopper control; USDA enters into cost share agreements with landowners when populations meet thresholds; and individual counties have the ability to form pest control districts when necessary. |
