Description of Subjects/Issues |
The Colorado Department of Transportation is repealing 2 CCR 601-23 because HB17-243 transferred the Motorcycle Operator Safety Training (MOST) Program to the Chief of the Colorado State Patrol in the Department of Public Safety, effective January 1, 2018. |
Purpose/Objective of Rule |
The passage of HB 17-243 transferred the Motorcycle Operator Safety Training (MOST) Program to the Chief of the Colorado State Patrol in the Department of Public Safety, effective January 1, 2018. As of January 1, 2018, the Chief of the Colorado State Patrol has the specific statutory authority to adopt the rules necessary for the administration of the MOST program. Accordingly, CDOT is repealing 2 CCR 601-23 in this rule-making proceeding so that the repeal will occur simultaneously with the adoption of the Colorado State Patrol rules. |
