As amended by Colorado SB 17-243 and codified as §43-5-502.5, CRS, the rights, powers, duties and obligations of the Colorado Motorcycle Operator Safety Training (MOST) Program previously vested with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) transfer to the Chief of the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) on January 1, 2018. All rules and orders of the CDOT adopted prior to January 1, 2018, in connection with the powers, duties and functions transferred to the Chief of the CSP, will remain effective until revised, amended, repealed, or nullified pursuant to law.
The MOST Program Rules, previously known as 2 CCR 601-23, are being reassigned to 8 CCR 1507-56 as a result of their reassignment from CDOT to the Colorado Department of Public Safety (CDPS), CSP. The amendments here proposed focus on updating references from the CDOT to the CSP to facilitate the initial transition of these rules. |
