Statutory Authority |
The authority for the amendments of the rules is in § 8-72-102 C.R.S.
Rules. (1) The director of the division has the power to adopt, amend, or rescind, in accordance with section 24-4-103, C.R.S., reasonable and necessary rules relating to the administration of the “Colorado Employment Security Act” and governing hearings and proceedings under such act. |
Purpose/Objective of Rule |
The Division of Unemployment Insurance is responsible for administering Articles 70 through 82 of Title 8, C.R.S., connected to appeals and the determination of good cause. The regulations for appeals and the determination of good cause are amended to facilitate a streamlined process for determining good cause as it relates to actions associated with appeals.
The immediate adoption of these rules is necessary to allow the Division of Unemployment Insurance to implement a process that conforms to federal requirements and allows the Division of Unemployment Insurance to better meet the performance measures, provide more efficient service to our customers and eliminate red tape, and process appeals in a timely manner. |
