Description of Subjects/Issues |
The purpose of this amended and revised section of rule is to provide clarity to the relationship, requirements, approval process and allowed uses for museums, on-site institutions and repositories curating state artifact collections and paleontological specimen. |
Purpose/Objective of Rule |
The main purpose and objective of the rules and procedure changes is to clarify the terms and conditions for greater public benefit to approved partner museums and curatorial repositories for the curation of collections from state lands. |

Comments |
A small number of verbal questions and positive comments were received at the public hearing held on 5/4/2017; a very limited number of language changes were then incorporated after final internal review. This culminates efforts that were developed from external discussions and comments received from outreach initiatives and meetings held across the State over the course of two years. |
