| Description of Subjects/Issues |
The Office of Legislative Legal Services has reviewed the Rules for Administration of the Waiver of Statute and Rule and recommended amendments that would further align these rules with current statute. |
| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
Pursuant to HB 14-1292, the State Board of Education is required to promulgate rules identifying automatic waivers for charter schools, using criteria that consider the overall impact and complexity of the requirements specified in statute and the potential consequences that waiving the statute may have on the practices of a charter school.
The Office of Legislative Legal Services identified a few areas in the rules where language was not consistent with current statute. This revision reflects those changes. |
