Creation of new rule for OIT regarding the Public Safety Trust Fund |
Purpose/Objective of Rule |
The basis and purpose of this rule is to specify the criteria to be used to administer discretionary distributions of public safety communications trust fund monies to and replacement of such monies by state and local governments. The primary purpose of such distributions shall be the acquisition and maintenance of statewide public safety communications systems of use by departments including, but not limited to, the state departments of public safety, transportation, natural resources, and corrections as provided in section 24-37.5-502(4)(b) CRS. It applies to the Governor’s Office of Information Technology and to State Agencies, as defined in § 24-37.5-102(4) CRS.
It is authorized and required pursuant to §24-37.5-502(1)(j) CRS.
