| Description of Subjects/Issues |
To make permanent the Emergency Quarantine against Emerald Ash Borer (Agrilus planipennis, Fairmaire) adopted on 11/12/13. Consistent with the Emergency Quarantine Rules these Permanent Rules establish a Quarantine against EAB; set forth definitions and specific terms used in the rules; specify the regulated articles; establish the Quarantine areas; specify restrictions established on regulated articles; and specify violations of the rules for which penalties may be imposed. |
| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
The purpose of this rulemaking is to make permanent the Emergency Quarantine against Emerald Ash Borer (Agrilus planipennis, Fairmaire) (“EAB”) that was adopted by the Commissioner on November 12, 2013. Consistent with the Emergency Quarantine Rules these Permanent Rules establish a Quarantine against EAB; set forth definitions and specific terms used in the rules; specify the regulated articles; establish the Quarantine areas; specify restrictions established on regulated articles; and specify violations of the rules for which penalties may be imposed. |
