Description of Subjects/Issues The purpose of the amendments is three-fold: 1) to align the Department’s regulations with current federal certification standards enacted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid; 2) to replace outdated references and standards of practice with current references and standards of practice regarding ambulatory surgical centers; and 3) to clarify some requirements and make numerous typographical and grammatical corrections.
