Description of Subjects/Issues |
The Department proposal includes rules defining the term "primary care-giver" and clarifying the phrase "significant responsibility for managing the well-being of a patient"; and requiring that signatures on registry applications and related forms be notarized. Alternative language to the department proposal has been submitted by Robert J. Corry ("Corry alternative") designed to protect confidentiality of vulnerable patients and caregivers from criminal acts. |
Purpose/Objective of Rule |
Requires the notarization of signatures on medical marijuana registry application and related forms; defines the role of a primary care-giver; requires that applications and related forms be accompanied by a verifiable identification document to comply with the Secure and Verifiable Identity Document Act; authorizes the department to not issue a new registry card to a patient after addition or change of the primary care-giver; and corrects typographical errors and omissions. |
