| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
The statutory basis for this regulation are 24-4-103, 24-72.1-103, 42-1-204, 42-2-107 and 42-2-302, CRS. The department is responsible for the application process for obtaining Colorado driver's licenses and identification cards. The purpose of this regulation is to set forth guidelines for the type of documents that the department will use as proof of the applicant's lawful presence in the United States, identity and age. This rule is required for the preservation of public health, safety or welfare and compliance with the requirements of this section would be contrary to the public interes |
